The gap is widest for NPs, where males see an average salary of $131K, a little more than 25 percent higher than women at an average of $104K. For APNs, the gap is closer to 20 percent, while RNs and LPNs see a difference between 10-15 percent. Among DNPs/PhDs, the difference is almost negligible by compar-ison, as both genders average over $100K per year with a difference of about $4,000 annually. In fact, the lone discrepancy comes in people of Asian or Pacific Islander decent claiming the highest average salaries across three of the five different categories of nursing professionals. Most notable: RNs of Asian/Pacific Islander descent making $86,355 per year on average; a full $8,500 more than any other group, while LPNs who identified as Asian/Pacific Islanders make nearly $61K annually.www.elitecme.com | NURSES 2020 SALARY SURVEY RESULTS 11"
