The World Health Organization (WHO) defines workplace violence (WPV) as Incidents where staff experience abuse, threats, or assaults in the circumstances related to their work, including commuting to and from their work, involving an explicit or implicit challenge to their safety, well-being, or health. According to WHO, physical and psychological harm, including attacks, verbal abuse, bullying, and sexual and racial harassment, are workplace violence. According to the National Institute for Occupational Health and Safety (NIOHS), among individuals who experienced workplace trauma, 70% worked in healthcare and social assistance industries. Among the injured employees, 70% were females, and 67% between 25 to 54.
